Baltic Sea Underground Innovation Network

Dear representatives and stakeholders of Underground Laboratories and underground test-sites,

We, as BSUIN project member, are happy to announce that at the EGU General Assembly, Vienna, 3-8 May 2020, will be held a dedicated session on "Geoscientific Underground Laboratories and Test Sites".

This session concentrates to the use, challenges and future possibilities of the underground laboratories (Uls), starting from characterisation of the facilities, administration and operations of the Uls, what services they could offer until what could be the sustainable business models of the Uls. Uls can be used for practical tests, scientific research or for production and industrial purposes where underground conditions are suitable.

Therefore, we invite all the underground laboratory networks, operators, managers, scientists and other stakeholders to contribute to introduce their infrastructures, characterisations, management, scientific research and business models as well as future visions and exemplary user cases.

The deadline to submit your abstracts to this session is 15th of January 2020.
